Step 1 — University admission
Your journey begins with an offer letter from a licensed higher education institution in the UAE — for example, our partner network includes institutions such as Westford University. The offer must state your program, intake, and duration so the visa file can be opened correctly.
Step 2 — Visa file & security clearance
The university (or its authorized typing center) opens a student visa file with the relevant emirate’s immigration authority. You will submit passport copies, photographs, attested academic certificates, and the signed offer. Security clearance timing varies; apply as early as your intake allows.
Step 3 — Entry permit & travel
Once approved, you receive an entry permit allowing travel to the UAE. Some students complete certain steps from Sri Lanka; others travel first under guidance from the institution. We coordinate with our UAE desk (+971 52 982 1488) for students who need on-ground support.
Step 4 — Medical & Emirates ID
After arrival, you complete a medical fitness test and biometrics for your Emirates ID. The residence visa is stamped in your passport and linked to your sponsor (usually the university).
Documents to prepare early
- Passport valid at least six months beyond your course end
- Passport-size photos on a white background
- Attested educational certificates and transcripts
- Proof of tuition payment or sponsorship as requested by the university
- Completed university application and medical insurance where required
Common pitfalls
Mismatched names across certificates, expired attestations, or missing pages in passport scans cause delays. Our team checks every document before it reaches the typing center.
